MISSION
We pledge to adhere to International Labour
Standards by promoting and facilitating
employment opportunities, skills development
required by labour market, sound labour
relations management, tripatism, social
dialogue, social justice, healthy and safe
working conditions, and accessible and timely
dispute resolution for all stakeholders.
KEY
OBJECTIVES
a) To increase skills database from 0% to 5%.
b) To increase the employment of Basotho in
scarce skills positions from 10 to 80.
c) To increase the number of placed job seekers
in permanent positions from 125 to 500 per year
by 2013.
d) To increase the number of informed school
leavers and job seekers on career development
from 216 to 432 by 2013.
e) To increase the number of formalized Small
Micro & Medium Enterprises from the informal
sector from 0 to 200 by 2013.
f) To increase provision of labour market
statistics from 40% to 75% by 2013.
g) To increase efficiency of labour Justice
System.
h) To increase participation of social partners
in statutory bodies from 10% to 30% by 2013.
i) To increase the level of compliance with
labour laws per establishment from 30% to 80% by
2013.
j) To reduce unsafe health conditions at
textiles and construction sectors from 80% to
45%.
k) To reduce the number of musculoskeletal and
respiratory disorders in textile and
construction from 40% to 20% (73 -14) by 2013.
l) To reduce the number of staff involved in
corruption incidences from 10 to 0 by 2013.
m) To reduce the prevalence of HIV and Aids
infection among workforce from 50% to 30% by
2013.
n) To increase speedy service delivery by 20% by
March 2013.
o) To increase level of performance of staff
from 50% to 80%.
p) To increase team spirit and unity amongst
staff from 10% to 100% by 2013.
q) To establish comprehensive social security
scheme for the private sector by 2013.
r) To reduce the number of unpaid beneficiaries
of estates pensions and compensations from 1200
to below 50 by 2013.
s) To increase the employment of legal Basotho
in RSA by 3000 from 103499 to 106, 499 by 2013.
t) To increase the employment of Basotho in
foreign countries other than RSA by 1000 from
3500 to 4500 by 2013.
u) To increase number of enrolled NSTC students
from 80 to 120 per quarter by 2013. |
