Improving Labour Systems in Southern Africa (ILSSA) Project

The project is an ILO initiative aimed at improving labour administration in Southern Africa, and Lesotho is one of the beneficiaries. The Project is also aimed at ensuring compliance with national labour laws.

 Protection Of Wages

One of the highly protected rights of an employee is the right to payment of wages. Protection of wages has been provided for in terms of Part VI of the Labour Code Order, 1992; Section 81-91 inclusive. These are the provisions of the Code which deal exclusively with how, where, when, and in what manner wages are to be paid.

Labour Code (Amendment) Act 2006

 An Act to amend the Labour Code Order 1992 to make provision for HIV and AIDS in the workplace and to transfer the review powers from the Labour Appeal Court to the Labour Court and for related matters.
